NO BULLYING ZONE

 

Swag Achievement is a strong advocate against Bullying for ALL students who are pursuing their education to achieve their career goals. Therefore, each year we are either hosting Anti-Bullying Symposiums public venues or collaborating with other organizations that shares the same concern about ALL students' lives.TOO MANY TIMES, we have heard so many tragedies that have made a negative impact not only the lives of those who witnessed a suicide of their loved one or was a victim of a mass shooting because of BULLYING.....but as a FAMILY in the SCHOOL...THE COMMUNITY...THE CITY....THE STATE....THE NATION & THE WORLD. 

So, our goal as an organization is to bring forth empowered and preventative measures and solutions within our symposiums and events to have "NO MORE TERROR...NO MORE TEARS...AND NO MORE FEARS BUT BRING MORE LOVE...MORE PEACE...AND MORE UNITY!!!!

Bullying is a form of child abuse and 4 out of 10 children will drop out of school because they are bullied at school.

According to the results of the list national school bullying stats and cyber bullying stats surveys, 3096 of U.S. students in grades six through ten are involved in moderate or frequent bullying. Also, school bullying and cyberbullying are increasingly viewed as an important contributor to youth violence which is includes mass shootings, homicide and suicide. (Case Studies of the shooting at Columbine High School and other U.S. schools have suggested that bullying was a factor in many of the incidents.)

  • About 42 percent of kids have been bullied while online with one in four being verbally attacked more than once.
  • About 35 percent of kids have been threatened online.
  • About 58 percent of kids and teens have reported that something mean has been said about them or to them online.
  • Other bullying statistics show that about 77 percent of students have admitted to being the victim of one type of bullying or another.
  • The American Justice Department bullying statistics show that one out of ever 4 kids will be bullied sometime throughout their adolescence.
  • 46 percent of males followed by 26 percent of females have admitted to being victims in physical fights as reported in one report of bullying statistics by the Bureau of Justice School. Other bullying facts:
  • As these bullying statistics indicate, bullying is just getting worse in American schools. Many studies have shown that increasing domestic violence at home are leading to an increase in bullying online and at school. 
  • Researchers note that one way to help begin to lower these bullying statistics is to tell an adult when it is happening.
  • According to the i-Safe American survey of students bullying statistics, about 58 percent of kids admit to never telling an adult when they’ve been the victim of a bullying attack.
  • Another way to stay safe from bullies is to inform the school if the attacks are taking place on school property or have something to do with the school. 

  

Recent School Bullying and Cyberbullying Statistics Show That:

  • 1 out of 4 kids are bullied.
  • 77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally,& physically. (Cyberbullying Statistics are rapidly approaching similar numbers, with 43% experiencing cyberbullying. Of the 77% of students that said they had been bullied, 14% of those who were bullied said they experienced cyberbullying have (bad) reactions to the abuse.
  • 1 in 5 students admit to being a bully
  • Each day 160,000 students miss school for fear of being bullied. 43% of kids fear harassment in the bathroom at school.
  • 100,000 students carry a gun to school.
  • 28% of youths who carry weapons have witnessed violence at home.
  • 282,000 students are physically attacked in secondary schools
  • Each month, more youth violence occurs on school grounds as opposed to on the way to school.
  • Playground school bullying statistics - Every 7 minutes a child is bullied.
  • Adult intervention - 4%. Peer intervention - 11%. No intervention -85%.

  • Teenagers say revenge is the strongest motivation for school shootings.
  • 87% said shootings are motivated by a desire to get back at those who have hurt them."
  • 86% said, "other kids picking on them, making fun of them or
  • bullying them" causes teenagers to turn to lethal violence in the schools.
  • Students recognize that being a victim of abuse at home or witnessing others being abused at home may cause violence in school according to recent school bullying statistics and cyberbullying statistics.
  • 61% satid students shoot others because they have been victims of physical abuse at home.
  • 54% said witnessing physical abuse at home can lead to violence in school.
  • The school bullying statistics and cyberbullying statisties showed that students say their schools are not safe.
  • The study indicated that those in the lower grades reported being in twice as many fights as those in the higher grades.
  • However, there is a lower rate of Serious violent crimes in the clementary level than in the middle or high school.
